Installing TrueType fonts in Mac OSX

Typically, you will download a "zipped" windows file by clicking on it in your browser. When the download is finished, the packaged archive should be automatically un"zipped" by the Unstuffit program. Locate the directory on your desktop and copy the .ttf file in question into your Library/Fonts/ directory. Restart your browser and go.

FOR MELTHO SYRIAC (open type)

Download the font for Linux/BSD from BethMardutho.org. Double Click on the .tar.gz file, then on the .tar file. This will create a folder consisting of all the Meltho fonts. Double click on the ones you wish to install and install them with the "font book" program that comes up. As of OS X 10.3, however, you will not see proper contextual forms as you would under Windows XP, so you may wish to use a Windows emulator for our site. Alternatively, Mac users may copy and paste Syriac into the Mellel(TM) word processor and it will display properly!!
