שַׁעוָה‏ n.f. wax

wax OA, JLAtg, PTA, Sam, Syr, Man, LJLA. TgJ Mi1:4 : וֻמֵישְרַיָא יִתבַזְעֻון כְשַעוָתָא מִן קְֹדָם נֻורָא‏ the plains shall be rent like wax [=MT כַּדּוֹנַג] before fire. FTV Gen33:4 : על דקהן שינוי בשעווה‏ because his teeth were dull with wax. balm, storax(?) Syr, LJLA. PJ Gen37:25 : וגמליהון טעינין שעוה ושרף קטף ולטום‏ their camels laden with storax, balsam bush resin, balsam resin, and ladanum.
