  lying  Syr, LJLA.  TgEsth2 6:1(8) : מרדכי צדיקא דהוה שהיר ולא שכיב והוה שכיב ולא דמיך‏  righteous Mordecai who was alert an could not lie down and would lie down but not fall asleep. שכיב מרע‏ : gravely ill  JLAtg, Gal, JBA, JBAg, LJLA.  TgO Gen48:1var. : הָא אֲבוּך שכיב מְרַע‏ .  TgQoh3:3 : עידן בחיר לאסאה שכיב מרע‏  a preferred time for healing one gravely ill.

  dead  CPA, Syr, LJLA.  PJ Deut25:6 : על שום אחוי שכיבא‏  in the name of his dead brother.  TgQoh4:2 : ושבחית אנא ית שכיביא דהא כבר מיתו‏  I praised those lying dead who already died.
