שְׁמִיעַ‏ adj. obedient

obedient to the opposition, i.e., deserter JLAtg. TgJ Jer39:9 : וְיָת שְאָר עַמָא דְאִשתְאַרוּ בְקַרתָא וְיָת שְמִיעַיָא דְאִשתְמַעוּ עֲלוֹהִי‏ the remnant of the people that were left in the city and those that deserted to him.
