  to rest from activity  JLAtg, LJLA.  TgO Ex23:12 : בְדִיל דִינוּחַ תוֹרָך וֻחמָרָך וְיִשקוֹט בַר אַמתָך וְגִיוֹרָא.  PJ Ex23:12 : מן בגלל דינוחון תורך וחמרך וישקוט בר אמתך ערלאה וגיורא  in order that your ox and ass may rest and the uncircumcised son of your maidservant and the proselyte may take a break †.

  to dwell in calm and comfort  JLAtg, JBAg.  TgJ Jer46:27 : וְיִשקְטוּן וְיִשרוֹן לְרֻחצַן וְלֵית דְמַנִיד  the shall be comfortable and dwell in security without anyone disturbing them.  TgJ Jer48:11 : שָלַן מוֹאֲבָאֵי מִזֲעוּרְהוֹן וְשָקְטִין אִנוּן עַל נִכסֵיהוֹן  the Moabites have had it easy since their youth, dwelling comfortably on their properties (as opposed to being exiled).

  to be becalmed  JLAtg.  TgJ Jer49:23 : דַחלָא וְיִצפָא אֲחַדוּנוּן הָא כְנָחְתֵי יַמָא דְשָקְטִין וְלָא יָכְלִין לִמנָח/למערק  fear and concern seized them like becalmed sailors that are unable to rest/escape.
