עֵימַק עִמְקָא‏ n.m. valley

valley Qumran, JLAtg, LJLA. GenApoc 21.25 : כול אלן אזדמנו כחדא לקרב לעמקא די סדיא‏ all these assembled together for battle in the valley of GN. TgJ Jos18:21var. : יְרִיחוֹ וֻבֵית חָגלָה וֻמֵישַר/וְעֵמַק/ קְצִיץ‏ . TgJ Jer48:8 : וְיֵיבְדוּן דְיָתְבִין בְעִמקָא‏ those who dwell in the valley shall be lost. TgIChron 27:29 : ועל תורי די בעמקאיא שפט בר עדלי‏ PN was over the cattle in the valleys.

depth PTA. TN Deut30:13 : לווי הוה לן חד כיונה נביא די יחות לעמקוי דימה רבה‏ would that we had one like the prophet Jonah who would go down to the depths of the great sea. intaglio JLAtg. TgJ Amos6:4 : דְשָכְבִין עַל עַרסָן דִמכַבְשִין בְשַן דְפִיל וְעֵימַק יָוָן עַל עַרסָתְהוֹן‏ who lie on couches embedded with ivory and Greek intaglio on their couches.

The forms ˁŭmeq and ˁĕmeq are essentially the same word, but they do seem to be kept distinct in JLA: the former "depth"; the latter "valley" (as in Hebrew.
