אֲמִיטָה‏ n.f. dark cloud

dark cloud JLAtg, Gal, BabMBK, LJLA. TgO Ex20:21 : לְצֵיד אְמִיטְתָא דְתַמָן יְקָרָא דַיוי‏ toward the dark cloud [MT הָעֲרָפֶל] wherein was the glory of the Lord. TgJ Is6:4 : וֻבֵית מַקדְשָא אִתמְלִי אְמִיטְתָא‏ . TgJob26:9 : מאחד באמיטתא דמן כורסיא‏ He is shut in by a dark cloud that comes from the Throne [=MT מְאַחֵז פְּנֵי־כִסֵּה]. TgJob38:9 : בשוואותי עננא כסותיה ואמטתא ליפופיה‏ when I set cloud his covering and dark cloud his swaddling cloth.
