אוֹב‏ n.m. ghost

ghost summoned by a necromancer JLAtg, Sam, LJLA. TgJ Is29:4 : וִיהֵי כְאוֹב מֵאַרעָא קָלִיך‏ your voice will be like a dead spirit (that speaks) from the ground. PJ Deut18:11 : ומחברין ואסרין חיווין ועקרבין וכל מיני רחשין ושאלין אובא טמיא‏ exorcists and those who bind snakes, scorpions, and all kind of creeping things, and consult the ghostly spirit.
