artisan Com. TgO Ex35:35 : לְמַעְבַד כֹל עְבִידַת נַגָר וְאֻומָן וְצַיָיר‏ . PJ Gen3:4 : כל אומנא סני בר אומנותיה‏ every artisan hates his fellow artisan. PJ Ex28:6 : בוץ שזיר עובד אומן‏ embroidered linen, artisanal work.

skilled, talented person, specialist Com. TgJ 1Sam31:3 : אֻמָנִין מִגַד בְקַשתָא‏ skilled at drawing the bow. TgJ 2Sam5:11 : וְנַגָרִין דְאֻומָנִין לְמִקָץ אָעִין‏ carpenters who are skilled in cutting wood. TgIChron 14:1 : ארדכלין דאומנין לבניין כותלא ונגרין דחכמין למקטע קיסין‏ builders skilled at building a wall and carpenters who know how to cut logs.
