בָּלוֹשׁ‏ n.m. searcher, investigator

searcher, investigator JLAtg, Sam, JBA. TgJ Amos9:3 : מִתַמָן אֲפַקֵיד בָלוֹשִין וְיִבלְשוּנוּנוּן‏ I shall order searchers from there and they shall search them out. searcher among the spoils JLAtg, LJLA. TgJ Jer49:10 : אֲרֵי אֲנָא אַיתִיתִי בָלוֹשִין עַל עֵשָׂו גַלִיתִי יָת מַטמוּרוֹהִי‏ for I have brought searchers against Esau (i.e. Edom) and revealed his hidden treasures. PJ Num31:27 : ותפליג ית דברתא בין גובריא בלושיא דאחדו ית עתיד עדיתא באגחות קרבא‏ you should divide the spoil among the searchers who took charge of the the fixing of the booty in fighting the battle.
