בָּמָה‏   n.f.  pagan altar, high place


  pagan altar, high place  Qumran, JLAtg, PTA, LJLA.  4Q534.2.13 : במן יחרבן‏  high places shall go to ruin.  TgO Lev26:30 : וַאְשֵיצֵי יָת בָמָתְכוֹן וַאְקַצֵיץ יָת חְנִסנְסֵיכוֹן‏  I shall destroy their pagan altars and cut down their sun-shrines.  TN Num21:28 : דהו{ן}<ו>ן מדבחין קדם במתה/טעוותה/ דארנונה‏  they were sacrificing before the altars of Arnon.  FTP Deut32:13 : במתא דארעא‏  the high places of the earth.  PJ Deut2:16 : כל גברי מגיחי קרב עבדי בימתא‏  all the fighting men who worship at the pagan altar.
