cross-bar (of the gallows) LJLA. TgEsth² 9:14(11) : והוא צליבא משקע בארעא תלת אמין ובריח הוה רם תלת אמין מן ארעא‏ the gallows was sunk three cubits into the ground and a cross-piece was three cubits high off the ground †.
