הוֹאִיל־וְ־‏ conj. since

since Gal, PTA, JBA, LJLA. TN Gen18:17 : הואיל וכרכה דסדם במתנתה דיהבת לה‏ since the city of Sodom is within the gifts which I have given to him. PJ Deut14:7 : הואיל ולית בזיניה חזי למתקימא‏ since there is nothing of its defect that is proper to be maintained.
