מְעָרֵק מְעָרְקָא‏ n.m. refugee, one fleeing

refugee JLAtg. TgJ Jer48:19 : שַאִילוּ לִמעָרְקַיָא וְלִמשֵיזְבַיָא אֵמַרוּ מָה הֲוָה עַל תְבָרָא דֵיכִי‏ ask the fugitives and say to the refugees what happened at that disaster. TgJ Ob1:14 : וֻדקַמתָא עַל פִרקָא לְשֵיצָאָה יָת מְעָרְקוֹהִי‏ that you stood at the breech to destroy its refugees.
