מַלְכּוּ‏ n.f. kingdom

kingship, reign Com. Ezra4:24 : שְׁנַת תַּרְתֵּין לְמַלְכוּת דָּרְיָוֶשׁ מֶלֶךְ־פָּרָס‏ year two of the rule of Darius King of Persia. Dan4:26 : הֵיכַל מַלְכוּתָא‏ the royal palace. TgJ Ez31:6 : וֻבִטלַל מַלכוּתֵיה‏ in the protection of His rule. (of a queen) rule along with the king LJLA. TgEsth³02:4 : ועלימתא די תשפר קדם מלכא תעול למחסן מלכותא חלף ושתי‏ the girl who pleases the king shall enter into possession of the queenship in place of PN [~ MT תִּמְלֹךְ תַּחַת וַשְׁתִּי].

kingdom, realm (a political entity) Com^-OA^-OfA. Dan2:41 : מַלְכוּ פְלִיגָה תֶּהֱוֵה‏ there shall be a divided kingdom (or: rule). TgJ Ez31:14 : וְלָא יִתְנוּן יָת מַרוַתהוֹן עַל מַלכְוָתָא‏ nor shall they impose their overlordship over the kingdoms.
