מַרְגַּלְיָה מַרְגָּלִי‏ n.f. pearl

pearl JLAtg, Gal, PTA, CPA, JBA, LJLA. TgJ Ez27:16 : וְאַבנִין טָבָן וֻמַרגַליָן יְהַבוּ בְבֵית גִנזַך‏ . TN Gen2:12 : אבניא טבתה ומרגליתא‏ . PJ Ex14:9 : כנשין מרגליין ואבנין טבן דדבר פישון מגינוניתא דעדן‏ gathering pearls and gemstones that the Pishon had moved along from the garden of Eden.

gem LJLA. PJ Ex25:7 : מרגליין דבירולין הינון מרגליין דאשלמותא למכבשא ולמקבעא‏ beryl gems are the gems of "setting" (i.e.,) for pounding in and infixing. PJ Ex31:5 : ובאגלפות מרגליתא‏ [MT: וּבַחֲרֹשֶׁת אֶבֶן]. TgSong5:14 : תרי עשר שבטין דיעקב גליפן על תרי עשר מרגליתא‏ twelve tribes of Jacob engraved on twelve gems (followed by a list of different gems for each tribe).

In JLA the absolute would appear to be מַרְגַּלְיָה‏; elsewhere מרגלי.
