נַץ נַצָּא   n.m. #2  hawk, falcon


  a small diurnal raptor: hawk or falcon  Qumran, JLAtg, Syr, JBA, Man, LJLA.  11QtgJob 33.7=39:26 : המן חכמתך יסתער נצא  does the hawk take wing because of your wisdom?.  TgO Lev11:16 : וְצִיצָא וְצִיפַר שַחפָא וְנַצָא לִזנוֹהִי.  TgSong2:14 : וחויא מעיק לה מגיו ונצא מעיק לה מברא  a snake was attacking him from the inside while a hawk was attacking him from the outside.
