קָמָה #2   n.f. #2  stele, pillar


  stele, maṣṣebah (as a proscribed element of pagan worship)  JLAtg, Sam, LJLA.  TgO Deut7:5 : אֵיגוֹרֵיהוֹן תְתָרְעוּן וְקָמָתְהוֹן תְתַבְרוּן  you must break down their temples and smash their stelae.  TgIIChron 14:2 : ותבר ית קמתא וקציץ ית אשירתא. pillar  JLAtg, LJLA.  TgO Gen19:26 : וַהוָת קָמָא דִמלַח  she turned into a pillar of salt.  PJ Gen31:51 : הא אוגר הדין והא קמא דאקימית בינא ובינך.

  stone marker as a positive sign of worship used by the ancestors  JLAtg, LJLA.  TgO Gen28:18 : וֻנסֵיב יָת אַבנָא דְשַוִי אִיסָדוֹהִי וְשַוִי יָתַה קָמָא וַאֲרֵיק מִשחָא עַל רֵישַה  he took the stone that he had placed as his headrest and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it.  PJ Gen28:18 .
