סֵאמָא   n.m.  silver


  silver  Syr, JBA, LJLA, JudSyr.  TgPs12:7 : היך סימא סנינא בכורא  like silver refined in the smelter [=MT כֶּסֶף צָרוּף בַּעֲלִיל] .  TgJob28:1 : ארום אית לסימא מפקנא ואתר לדהבא מסננין  [=MT כִּי יֵשׁ לַכֶּסֶף מוֹצָא וּמָקוֹם לַזָּהָב יָזֹקּוּ].

  money  LJLA.  TgPs15:5 : סמיה לא יהב בחבוליא  he did not lend his money at interest.

Greek ἄσημος. In Syriac and LJLA generally used as a replacement for Semitic ksp in the sense of the metal as opposed to silver used as "money", although some Syriac scribes were clearly somewhat confused about the difference
