סָרֶךְ סָרְכָּא   n.m.  commander


  commander, high official  OfAWest, BADan, JLAtg, PTA, Sam, LJLA.  Dan6:4 : אֱדַיִן דָּנִיֵּאל דְּנָה הֲוָא מִתְנַצַּח עַל־סָרְכַיָּא וַאֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנַיָּא  then this Daniel proved to be supreme among the commanders and satraps.  Dan6:8 : כֹּל סָרְכֵי מַלְכוּתָא סִגְנַיָּא וַאֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנַיָּא הַדָּבְרַיָּא וּפַחֲוָתָא  all the commanders of the kingdom: the viceroys, satraps, viziers, and governors.  TgO Ex5:10 : שִלטוֹנֵי עַמָא וְסָרְכוֹהִי  the nations rulers and leaders.  FTV Deut16:18 : /שפטים/ְ דיינין וסרכין  judges: i.e. judges and leaders.  PJ Ex5:15 : ואסרכי בני ישראל  The Israelite leaders.
