סָרֶךְ סָרְכָּא‏ n.m. commander

commander, high official OfA^West, BA^Dan, JLAtg, PTA, Sam, LJLA. Dan6:4 : אֱדַיִן דָּנִיֵּאל דְּנָה הֲוָא מִתְנַצַּח עַל־סָרְכַיָּא וַאֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנַיָּא‏ then this Daniel proved to be supreme among the commanders and satraps. Dan6:8 : כֹּל סָרְכֵי מַלְכוּתָא סִגְנַיָּא וַאֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנַיָּא הַדָּבְרַיָּא וּפַחֲוָתָא‏ all the commanders of the kingdom: the viceroys, satraps, viziers, and governors. TgO Ex5:10 : שִלטוֹנֵי עַמָא וְסָרְכוֹהִי‏ the nations rulers and leaders. FTV Deut16:18 : /שפטים/ְ דיינין וסרכין‏ judges: i.e. judges and leaders. PJ Ex5:15 : ואסרכי בני ישראל‏ The Israelite leaders.
