תָּבוֹעַ‏ nom.ag. seeker, demander

seeker, demander Syr, LJLA. PJ Ex4:16 : אנת תהוי ליה לרב תבוע אולפן מן קדם ייי‏ you will be a teacher for him and a seeker of instruction from the Lord †.

avenger, punisher PTA, Syr, LJLA. GT A Exod22:2 : תָבוֹע אְדָם‏ avenger of blood (guilt). PJ Gen34:31 : וכאיתא מטעייא נפקת ברא דלית לה תבוע יעביד ית אחתן אין לא עבדנא ית פיתגמא הדין‏ if we did not do this thing he would make our sister like a straying street-walking-woman without an avenger.
