תֶּנָּן‏ n.m. smoke

smoke Com. 11QtgJob 36.5=41:12 : מ֗ן֗ נחירוה יפק תנן‏ it emits smoke from its nostrils. TgO Gen15:17 : תַנוּר דִתָנַן וֻבָעוֹר דְאִישָא‏ an oven of smoke and a burning of flame. PJ Gen15:17 : והא חמא אברם גיהינם מסיק תננא וגומרין דאשא ומבעיר שביבין דנור למידן ביה רשיעיא‏ here did Abraham see Gehenna emitting smoke and fiery coals and burning with flames of fire in which to judge the wicked.
