חרֶשׁ‏ adj. deaf; mute

deaf , JLAtg, PTA, CPA, Sam, Syr, JBA, Man, LJLA. TgJ Is35:5 : וְאֻדנְהוֹן דִכחַרשִין לְקַבָלָא לְמִלֵי נְבִיַיָא יַצִיתָן‏ the ears which are deaf to accept the prophets' words shall listen. TNM Lev19:14 : ולא תלוטון חרשה בגין דלא שמע‏ do not curse a deaf person because he does not hear. TgPs38:14 : ואנא היך חרשא לא אשמע‏ . creature without speech, dumb animal JLAtg, Syr. TgJ Is56:10 : כַלבִין חַרשִין לָא יָכְלִין לְמִיבַח‏ mute dogs unable to bark.
