זְקִיף‏ adj. erect

erect, high, straight up Com^-OA^-OfA^-BA^-MA. Ezra6:11 : יִתְנְסַח אָע מִן־בַּיְתֵהּ וּזְקִיף יִתְמְחֵא עֲלֹהִי‏ a wooden beam should be removed from his house and he should be fastened erect on it. TN Ex17:12 : וידוי דמשה הויין זקיפן בצלו‏ Moses’ hands were raised up in prayer. PJ Lev13:2 : ברנש ארום יהי במשך בישריה שומא זקיפא‏ if a man has a vertical lesion on his flesh's skin .

as a substantive: erect structure, stake OfA^Per, Syr, LJLA. TgIChron 10:10 : וית גולגלתי׳ זקפו על זיקפא קביל טעות דגון‏ they stuck his skull on top of the stake facing the idol Dagon.
