אֲגַד   n.m. #2  staff

  staff, stick  JLAtg.

The Palestinian targumic tradition at Num 22:7 explaining how one can have קְסָמִים in one's hand appears differently in each text as אגדן, אגרן, גדין, and גרין. We are not certain whether the original version was meant to be arrows (gyr) for divination or this word, i.e. a staff, for which see Levy p. 1:125 s.v. גד. The Fragment Targum reading אגרן חתימין would seem to understand it as "sealed documents" however.
