CAL CODE HELP

This display reflects an early draft manuscript of Sokoloff's A Dictionary of Jewish Palestinian Aramaic, first edition. For additions and corrections in the second printed edition, please view our online text here. A third edition (2017) is now available, but it lacks the very valuable indexes of the earlier ones. They are available online, however (see the "CONTENTS" page of that edition).

While we occasionally find the base לבב for the sg. (e.g. לבביה TN Num 21:15; Ter 46b(51)) or the base לב for the pl. (e.g. לביהון TN Ex 10:1), these appear to be corruptions of the regular suppletive use of the two morphological bases. The comparable situation in CPA confirms this assumption.
