Gerizim Excavations: Volume I: The Aramaic, Hebrew and Samaritan Inscriptions (Jerusalem, IAA: 2004) pp. 41ff. J. Dušek (Aramaic and Hebrew Inscriptions from Mt. Gerizim passim) has argued cogently that some of the texts may be slightly earlier than the Hellenistic period, but typologically they belong with other monumental texts of this period. The numerous inscriptions are all on broken blocks of stone and are highly formulaic, so only the most meaningful and distinctive have been included here.
