SyrIncBowl (Moriggi Incantation Bowls): as restudied and published by Marco Moriggi in A Corpus of Syriac Incantation Bowls: Syriac Magical Texts from Late-Antique Mesopotamia (Brill, 2014). In the case of older published texts that seem to have deteriorated over time, we have tended to maintain readings that Moriggi no longer sees at all. Students need to understand that, with notable exceptions, the vocabulary and phraseology of these texts share terms with bowls in Jewish and Mandaic scripts--that some have termed a type of koine-- and should not be deemed normative for Syriac. Our thanks to Dr. Moriggi for providing us with an electronic text of this material.
