The Comprehensive Aramaic Lexicon

Text Information

TgPsJon: Book 1 Chapter 2 Verse 2
As per E. Clarke et al., Pseudo-Jonathan to the Pentateuch: Text and Concordance (Ktav, 1984), with variants from the editio princeps as given in the Madrid Polyglot. Students should avoid using the texts as printed in the standard editions of Miqraot Gdolot inasmuch as they are replete with errors, and the Levy and Jastrow dictionaries that relied upon them are equally of little to no value in such instances. We have noticed that the Clarke text, supposedly that of the British Library manuscript, is not in fact totally accurate but depended on the prints where they had trouble reading the text. That manuscript is now available in digitized format from the Library and should be consulted for any questionable passages: http://www.bl.uk/manuscripts/Viewer.aspx?ref=add_ms_27031_fs001r. Our intent is that our main text will reflect the manuscript and urge readers to supply corrections when they are discovered.
