Magic Texts from the Cairo Genizah: text 2 column 1 line 2
Although many of these texts were published as Palestinian, for obvious geographical reasons, the grammar of most of them is that of JLA and their lexicon that of a Jewish magic koine some of which may go back to middle Aramaic times. These texts are in relatively good Aramaic. Later texts, in highly mixed and artificial Aramaic, are in the next file. Rare Greek loanwords appearing in this material can be ascribed to Palestinian or LJLA material. Those passages in clear JPA orthography and lexicon are listed under Jewish Palestinian, file numbers 527... But even in such texts, much of the magical formulae and expressions almost certainly come from earlier traditions and places.
