Late, mixed dialect Magic Texts from the Cairo Genizah: Late texts, in highly mixed dialect and artificial Aramaic. Presumably, though, many of these magic recipes go back to authentic Aramaic models from various dialects that have been corrupted and combined from various sources over the generations. In magic recipe books, each individual recipe of the same manuscript can come from a different dialect and is cited here either as JPA or as JLA as appropriate.
