guarantee, surety JBAg, LJLA. PJ Gen39:1 : ויוסף איתחת למצרים וזבניה פוטיפר ٠٠٠ בערבנותא מן ערבאי דאחתוהי לתמן‏ Josheph was brought down to Egypt and PN sold him under warantee by the Arabs who had brought him down there. PJ Ex22:24 : לא תשוון עלוי דליהוי עלוי סהדין ומרי ערבנותא‏ do not require of him that there be witnesses or a guarantor †.
