For the "swamp grass" examples, Levy compares the Syriac "box-tree," but given the textual uncertainly, perhaps best simply to emend to ערבא as in the parallel subsequent verse and variants. The uncertain "sinew" at Qumran, if correctly restored, may belong rather with ערקה, ערקתא n.f. : "strap", which can take a plural in -īn.
