עֶזְקָה‏ n.f. ring

(finger) ring Com. as an official signet ring OfA^Eg, BA^Dan, Qumran, JLAtg, Syr. Dan6:18 : וְחַתְמַהּ מַלְכָּא בְּעִזְקְתֵהּ‏ the king sealed it with his signet. 4Q550 1:5 : אשתכח מגלה ח[דה חתי]מה חתמי֗[ן] שבעה בעזקתה די דריוש אבוהי‏ a single scroll was found sealed with seven seals by the ring of his father, Darius. TgJ Jer22:24 : כִגלָף דְעִזקָא עַל יַד יְמִינִי‏ .

larger ring, loop Com. TgO Ex28:23 : וְתַעְבֵיד עַל חוּשנָא תַרתֵין עִזקָן דִדהַב וְתִתֵין יָת תַרתֵין עִזקָתָא עַל תְרֵין סִטרֵי חוּשנָא‏ . TN Ex25:26 : ותתן ית עזקייא על ארבעתי זוויתא די לארבעתי רגלוי‏ you should put the rings on the four corners of its four feet. pl. : handcuffs, chains JLAtg, Syr. TgJ Jer40:4 : וֻכעַן הָא שַרִיתָך יוֹמָא דֵין מִן עִזקַיָא/עזקתא/ דְעַל יְדָך‏ .
