אַרְעִי‏ n.f. bottom

bottom, lowest part BA^Dan, JLAtg, PTA, JBA, JBAg, LJLA. Dan6:25 : וְלָא־מְטוֹ לְאַרְעִית גֻּבָּא עַד דִּי־שְׁלִטוּ בְהוֹן אַרְיָוָתָא‏ they had not reached the bottom of the pit before the lions took charge of them †. TgJ 1K6:15 : מֵאַרעִית בֵיתָא עַד כֻתלַיָא עַד מָטֵי רֵישֵי שָריָתָא חָפֵי נִסרִין דְאַרזָא‏ from the base of the temple up to the walls until it reaches the ends of the beams--plated with cedar planks. TNM Gen50:1 : ענפוי מטיין על כל דיירי ארעא ושרשוי מטיין עד ארעית תהומ׳‏ its branches spread over all the inhabitants of the Earth and its root reach the bottom of the abyss. PJ Ex15:19 : בארעית ימא‏ at the bottom of the sea.
