לְוַי לְוֵי‏ interj. O that

w. perfect : unreal conditional JLAtg, Gal, PTA, CPA, Sam, Syr, LJLA. TgJ 2Sam19:1 : לְוֵי דְמֵיתִית אְנָא חֲלוֹפָך‏ would that I had died instead of you. TN Num11:4marg. : ליוואי הווה לן דמייכל יתן‏ would that we had someone who feeds us. PJ Num14:2 : לואי דמיתנא בארעא דמצרים‏ would that we had died in Egypt. w. non-perfective : real conditional JLAtg, PTA, Sam, Syr, LJLA. TgO Deut5:29 : לְוֵי דִיהֵי לִיבָא הָדֵין לְהוֹן‏ would that they get this heart. TN Gen21:7 : אלווי מן ייזיל ותני בבייתיה דנחור‏ would that someone would go and tell about it in PN's house.
