רֵיקָנוּ   n.f.  vanity


  worthlessness, vanity  JLAtg, CPA, Syr.  TgJ Is30:7 : וֻמִצרָאֵי לָמָא וְרֵיקָנוּ סְעָדְהוֹן  but the Egyptians are nothing and their help is worthless. abs. as adv. : in vain  LJLA.  PJ Lev26:16 : ותידרעון לריקנו זרעכון  you shall sow your seed in vain.  TgEsth108:8 : לא יתיב ריקנו  it will not return nothing (i.e., is not ineffective). lryqnw : in vain, for nought  JLAtg, CPA.  TgJ Jer51:58 : וְיַהֲלוֹן עַמְמַיָא לְרֵיקָנוּ  the nations shall tire themselves out for nought .
