זְפָא‏ n.m. pitch

pitch JLAtg. TgJ Is34:9 : וְיִתהַפכוּן נַחלַהָא דְרוֹמֵי לִזפָא וְעַפרַה לְגוּפרֵיתָא‏ the rivers of Rome shall be turned to pitch [MT לְזֶפֶת] and its dirt to sulphur.
