G View a KWIC

to slaughter animals (as all or part of a sacrifice)  Com-OA-OfA-BA.

D View a KWIC

to slaughter human beings  Gal, Sam, Syr, BabMBK, LJLA.

to slaughter for sacrifice in large numbers  JLAtg, Syr, LJLA.

Gt View a KWIC

to be slaughtered  JLAtg, Gal, PTA, CPA, Sam, Syr, JBA, LJLA.

There is a regular scribal confusion in JLAtg and early Syriac texts between G and D forms; but with the exception of the stories about the "sacrifice" of Isaac, we think the distinction between the use of the G stem with animals and the D stem when people are involved is quite regularly maintained in the better texts.
