A back-formation due to misanalysis of dbbw. The usage is especially common as the object of the verb nṭr, but is well-established in LJLA. Given that the Akkadian origin of the original expression was forgotten many centuries earlier (for which see bˁldbb, bˁldbbˀ n.m.), one need not regard this usage as indicative of only a learned or artificial Aramaic.
