The frequency of the use of this form in LJLA instead of the expected dḥwl, demonstrates its authenticity, although whether it should be taken to be a derivative of the common verb dlḥ "to fear" rather then a metathesized from from dḥl "to disturb" remains to be seen. We have cited both roots as potential base forms.
There is also a great deal of confusion in the late mss. among the potentially homographic forms of n.m., nom.ag., and dlwxy, dlwxyˀ n.m.
