חַמִּיע‏ n.m. leaven

leavened dough or food made from it JLAtg, Gal, PTA, Sam, Syr, LJLA. TgO Ex12:15 : כֹל דְיֵיכוֹל חְמִיעָא‏ . TN Ex13:3 : ולא יתאכיל חמיע‏ . TgEsth² 3:8(17) : וגרפין חמיעא מן קדם פטירא‏ they scrape away leaven in deference to unleavened bread.
