יַד יְדָא   n.f.  hand, arm; side; power


  hand  Com.  Dan5:5 : אֶצְבְּעָן דִּי יַד־אֱנָשׁ  fingers of a human hand.  4QEne4.1.12 : ל]כ֗ל֗הון ידין ורגלין.

  arm  Com.  Dan5:5 : וּמַלְכָּא חָזֵה פַּס יְדָה.  11QtgJob 10.4=26:13 : חללת ידה תנין ערק֗  his hand pierced the slippery sea-serpent.  PJ Gen3:19 : בליעות כף ידך תיכול מזונא.

  power, control  Com.  Dan6:28 : דִּי שֵׁיזִיב לְדָנִיֵּאל מִן־יַד אַרְיָוָתָא  who saved Daniel from the power of lions.  4Q246 .2.8 : עממין ינתן בידה. ܬܚܝܬ ܐ܊‏ : under the supervision or control of : see also s.v. tḥwt  JLAtg, Syr, LJLA.
