גְּלִיף‏ n.m. engraving; statue

engraving PTA, Syr, LJLA. TN Ex28:36 : ותגליף עלוי גליף חקיק‏ you should engrave an inscribed engraving on it. TgPs16:1 : גליפא תריצא לדוד‏ a well-ordered engraving of David. TgPs74:6 : וכדין גליפייהא ג{רר}<דד>ין כחדא {ב}<כ>קופיץ ומיפסלת דיוסטר מחיין כבמרזופין‏ and so [read כדון "now"?] its engravings (on the signs?) cut together like a hatchet and a double-sided chisel they smite like an axe .
