Akkadian ganūnu; see AIOA 51.
Note that the earlier "bridal chamber" becomes "canopy" later (due to conflation with the unrelated verb gnn) and "bridal chamber" is expressed by the explicit new form by gnn. However, to judge by our textual examples, the "bridal chamber" was almost always a temporary structure erected for the occasion.
For the imagery of the bridal chamber of light in Syriac liturgy see S. Brock in The Harp 18(2005):179ff.
