In early texts always as a part of the expression ˁny w)mr, "to answer saying".
LS2 has created for Syriac a third verb out of whole cloth that is simply a combination of the two Semitic roots "to speak out" and "to be humble". We have here tried to disentangle his mess but at this stage cannot vouch for the proper assignment of lemmas within the CAL's textual databases. B.'s presupposition appears to be that the new verb is strictly a denominative from ˁnyn, though that word is derives from ˁny #1. Note that the native lexicographers do not recognize such a distinction.
